Five Products. One Solution.
The Blue Visby Solution is delivered through separate products
for different use-cases.

What each product does
Blue Visby Voyage is the core product, which is designed to reduce anchorage waiting time in a way that improves the voyage P&L for both shipowners and charterers. Blue Visby Bridge and BV360 are decision-support tools that can be used by individual companies to manage anchorage waiting time and to make their own operational and financial decisions. Blue Visby Ocean Visibility is a monitoring application of incoming ships to a port or terminal and related anchorage waiting time information and statistics. Emissions Dashboard & Reporting uses the same digital twin technology underpinning all our products, and is designed for use-cases where actual measurements are not necessary.
End-to-End Voyage Workflow
The systemic optimisation that delivers improved voyage P&L both for shipowners and charterers. A process — from registration and nomination, through the digital twin and recommended time of arrival.
- A Recommended Time of Arrival (BVRTA) at the anchorage, based on contractual provisions, terminal requirements, vessel specifications, environmental conditions, congestion and the relative position of other ships
- Updated and dynamic BVRTAs during the ocean passage, as conditions change
- Financial consequences of the later arrival — demurrage and fuel saving — quantified using a digital-twin methodology validated by Bureau Veritas
- A neutral methodology to compensate the shipowner for demurrage forgone and share the value of fuel saved between shipowners and charterers
- Avoided GHG emissions on each Blue Visby Voyage, with category breakdowns and a per-trade-route performance view
Operational Decision Support Tool
An operational decision support tool for shipowners, operators and charterers. BV360 shows the position and ETA of the vessels steaming to the same port, what the anchorage queue is doing, and what a change of speed would cost — without requiring anyone else’s agreement.
- Competing vessels on a single view, each arrival time given as a range that narrows as the voyage progresses
- Anchorage waiting time in three views — real-time, forecast and historical — alongside the port line-up
- Speed scenarios returning fuel consumption and CO₂ for the remaining voyage, projected against the vessel’s digital twin
- Real-time assessment of whether a Blue Visby Voyage is feasible on the ship you are watching
- Pairs with Blue Visby Bridge, the financial decision support tool
Financial Decision Support Tool
Operators try to deliver a positive voyage P&L by trying to balance the cost of the vessel and fuel against potential demurrage or despatch. Multiple parameters are relevant to this complex exercise, some of which are not known with certainty and most change during the voyage. Blue Visby Bridge prices the alternate financial outcomes of different arrival times at the anchorage, taking into account:
- laytime, demurrage and despatch
- the vessel’s fuel consumption curve, corrected by reference to actual performance, and adjusted for the weather conditions
- the cost of waiting at the anchorage, or other port related expenses
- the step changes in cost around tender of Notice of Readiness
- forecast of anchorage waiting times
- The tool is dynamic and can be used at the planning stage or during the voyage, taking into account the changing conditions
- It can be integrated with the user’s voyage management software. Web-based, no IT resource
- Advanced security features, organisation-level user administration and a support-access switch that the user’s organisation grants and revokes
Port & Terminal Monitoring
Situational awareness of incoming ships from the start of their voyage, for terminals and port authorities, and for operators and charterers.
- Position and reported ETAs of all incoming ships, with an independent assessment of each reported ETA
- Comparison between expected arrivals and current and forecast anchorage waiting times and the terminal line-up
- Line-up generated from independently assessed ETAs in a First Come First Served environment, with optional bespoke vessel arrival system
- Real-time, historical and statistical information about anchorage waiting times and the service ratio of the port & terminal
- Assessment of the feasibility and benefits of a Blue Visby Voyage, in real time
Scope 3 Emissions Reporting
Scope 3 emissions from ships you do not own, with every number traceable to its source — an online dashboard view of vessel emissions for port authorities, terminals and charterers.
- Dashboard view of total vessel emissions with period filters, KPIs and vessel-level detail
- An activity-based estimate calculated from AIS track data and vessel particulars, without requiring owner-reported data
- CO₂ and CO₂e reported on a tank-to-wake basis — no new equipment fitted on board
- Downloadable reporting, supported by a Basis of Preparation
Two ways to use the Blue Visby Solution
Sail Fast Then Wait has two causes: the financial outcome tied to a particular arrival time, and the absence of information about the queue you are sailing into. One product addresses the first. The others address the second, and need nothing from anyone else.
Blue Visby Voyage
The Blue Visby Voyage addresses both causes of Sail Fast Then Wait, when the Operator and Charterer agree to amend their contract and to share the financial benefits.
BV360, Blue Visby Bridge, Blue Visby Ocean Visibility, Emissions Dashboard & Reporting
Where a shipowner, operator or charterer wants situational awareness without committing to a Blue Visby Voyage, these products supply the parameters they are deciding against — the queue, the competing ships, the cost of a speed change, and the emissions outcome — for their own operational decisions.
Which product does what
Blue Visby Voyage carries all six capabilities because it is the one product that changes the contract. The others are chosen for the specific decision they support.

What the Products are built on
The Blue Visby Voyage is the systemic optimisation product that enables Shipowners, Operators and Charterers to overcome the operational practice of Sail Fast Then Wait, improve their voyage P&L and achieve double-digit GHG emissions avoidance without capex.
